Les Bordes Estate is a prestigious 1,400-acre private estate in France’s Loire Valley, combining luxury lifestyle living with world-class equestrian facilities set within natural forest and parkland. As the estate expands its equestrian programme, Noviun Surfaces is delivering innovative surface solutions to support high-performance training, horse welfare, and sustainable arena design.

The estate’s equestrian development includes stables, training arenas, and riding programs. Noviun Surfaces, under the direction of owner Dan Carr, is supplying natural fibre arena footing as part of its surface solutions, engineered to provide consistent traction, optimal moisture control, and superior shock absorption. These surfaces are plastic-free, non-toxic, and environmentally responsible, reflecting Noviun’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance equestrian arenas.

The project also incorporates Noviun’s HydroFlow irrigation system, installed beneath the surfaces. HydroFlow ensures even water distribution, maintains ideal moisture levels for consistent footing, reduces dust, and improves safety for horses and riders. This system allows arenas to perform reliably in all weather while using water efficiently.

Dan Carr, as owner of Noviun Surfaces, has been directly involved in planning and overseeing the implementation of the surface solutions at Les Bordes Estate, ensuring they meet the needs of elite and leisure riders while supporting horse health, training, and competition requirements.

Through this collaboration, Noviun Surfaces demonstrates how sustainable surface solutions can combine performance, durability, and environmental responsibility, reinforcing its position as a leader in innovative equestrian arena technology.
